September 6th, 2017, marked the first day of the 1st Annual Kelsey Snider Memorial Hunt. Oak Creek along with the Beverly Woods Foundation hosted the four kids that were to be hunting this season.
Last season, Kelsey Snider came to Oak Creek and changed the lives of everyone she met. Earlier this year, she passed away from complications from a surgery. After this we got together with the Beverly Woods Foundation and decided to honor her memory with a special hunt for other children that are fighting their own medical battles.
Upon arrival at Oak Creek, each young hunter sighted in their weapons and was made ready to go out on their hunt for some of the ranches big rams. It didn’t take them long as one harvested his ram on the first afternoon. The other three hunters were successful the second day. Everyone involved had a great time and we can not wait until the 2nd Annual hunt comes around.
