A Big Thank You!

Now That Hunting Season Is Over…
Well it’s that time of year again-time to store all of your gear until next season (except for your spring turkey gear of course!). Here are a few suggestions from Oak Creek to wrap up your season and help prepare for next year.
  • Inspect your bow or firearm for any damage.
  • Replace bowstrings and cables if needed. Wax the bow string and loosen the limbs to relax the bow string.
  • Clean guns and bows and apply oil and store in a dry environment.
  • Clean other equipment before storage: optics, calls, knives, etc.
  • Camoflauge: turn clothing inside out; wash out in an unscented or scent cover detergent that contains no UV brighteners, chlorine, or phosphates; hand dry; store in airtight bins.
